„Practice in Lodz – summer internships is a project organized as part of the “Youth in Lodz” program, whose aim is to enable students and graduates of Lodz universities to gain professional experience. The project can be attended by people up to 30 y.o. who are students or graduates (up to one year after graduation) of Lodz public or non-public universities. In your role on a Network and Infrasturcture Engineer Intern you will be responsible for the following tasks for several stages from develpment to production environment. Conception, requesting and tracking of firewall requests, domain registration, change requests, requesting and tracking of permissions & access rights, request exception permits, requesting and tracking of Active Directory Groups, manage network segmentation controls
In your role on a Workplace Engineer Engineer Intern you will be taking care that the developer workstations are equipped with the perfect hardware and software. You will enable developers to work productively with the latest developer tools.
What you will be doing? 👇
Your main tasks for Network and Infrastructure Engineer Intern are:
- Request firewall clearances with the Comfort request tool
- Domain Name Server (DNS) requests for domain registration
- Create Change request with HP Service Manager (ITIL)
- Request Exceptions special permission
Your main tasks for Workplace Engineer Intern are:
- Configuration and setup of specific developer workstations for Cross Channel Banking (CCB) engineers working within the CCB platform ('Monolith'):
- Application for hardware or VDI*s including Commerzbank basic installation for developer workstations
- Continuous improvement of the developer workflow by introducing new developer tools
- Installation of developer tools on CCB workstations: IDE**, development tools and basic configuration of the workspace
- Continuous maintenance and updating of the developer workstation image including patching of the included software components

** Integrated Development Environment
Alternative tasks:
- Analysing network traffic and troubleshooting network problems
- Cross-departmental communication
- Implementing the needs and problems of the developers
