„Practice in Lodz – summer internships is a project organized as part of the “Youth in Lodz” program, whose aim is to enable students and graduates of Lodz universities to gain professional experience. The project can be attended by people up to 30 y.o. who are students or graduates (up to one year after graduation) of Lodz public or non-public universities. We invite you to join Application Operations team which administrates, operates, and deploys applications on cloud and big data platforms for Sales Analytics cluster.
In your role as a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for administration, operation and deployment of applications on cloud and big data platforms. In addition, you will have an opportunity to act as a connector between developers and environments. You will also take a role in an innovation driven team, which drives innovative products using state of the art technology such as the Commerzbank Data Lake (Hadoop) and Google Cloud technology.
What you will be doing? 👇
- Working in cross-functional cells on maintaining stable operations
- Administrating and operating changes, releases, roll-outs and incidents
- Maintaining, deploying, and configuring cloud and big data environments, such as: GCP, Docker, Terraform
- Installing and configuring dedicated applications using CI/CD environment
- Writing basic SQL queries as part of testing process
- Acting responsible for technical users and all configuration items related to assigned products
- Supporting continuous automated testing
- Developing and improving the concept of monitoring
- Ensuring proper documentation and acting within company's administration requirements and standards
- Performing daily monitoring & rollouts for other cells as part of holiday coverage within cluster
Which technology & skills are important for us? 👇
- Basic knowledge of Unix / Linux
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Basic knowledge of Windows Servers
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn Shell scripting
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn ITIL processes
